The old management adage says that there is no ‘i’ in team, but there is one in t-shirt which is more of an observation than anything to draw a conclusion from. Internally we call ourselves the MT Fam because it is a family! We are a group of brothers and sisters just like you – we have high hopes and dreams for our futures of which Facebook is slowly destroying. We are a diverse and international team, representing a handful of nationalities and working through three different time zones. In reality this would be an awesome plot for a sitcom.
Khaled ‘Ledo’ El-Sawaf | Operation Sensation - ledo@muslimtees.com
Khaled joined MuslimTees in beginning of 2007 first heading up the marketing effort with MuslimTees and then, in the middle of April, as the man with the plan for operations. Khaled has a wealth of experience with strategy and managing people in his various leadership roles with various groups and local masjids. Khaled is a natural salesman earning the prestigious entrance into the Century Club after closing 100 new phone activations in a single month with Sprint. Activist, businessman, and future lawyer Khaled is always hungry for challenges to the point where he will frequently ask anyone eating with less than 100% commitment if they are ‘going to eat that? Or just throw it away? Not that I am hungry but it would just be a waste that’s all. I’m actually quite full.’ Sure you are Juice.
Nora Alfaham | Marketing Maestro - nora@muslimtees.com
Nora joined MuslimTees in the spring of 2007 as a product developer, with virtually no business experience Nora went to asking questions to demanding answers in the course a year after taking over the marketing reins. A student working on her Fine Arts Degree with a concentration on New Media (conveniently abbreviated to FADWACONM) Nora has a knack for asking the right questions at the wrong time at the right time opens up material concerns that have made the difference in the bottom line. Nora’s ability to learn quick and passion for excellence has catapulted her to being a key person in a very short time. The first sister on board she helped push through the women’s clothing line and continues to challenge us to step up our game. Nora has a huge threshold for lame jokes even Khaled and AbdulAziz can not break her that has got to be a Guinness record for something.
Zamin Dharsi | Gallery Manager - zamin@muslimtees.com
Zamin joined MuslimTees in the first quarter of 2008 as the lead designer. Responsible for keeping MuslimTees looking fl-ah-ah-ah-aye! A renaissance man Zamin can sketch, scribble, and as of late doodle. Zamin can do some serious damage with a pen, if he wanted to he could draw you with huge elephant ears basically make you look funny like a caricature. He is really awesome and his ability to make the author of this section look like a caricature has no influence on this statement. He also has the brains to back up his design as he throws down color theory, gestalt design principles, and other things that if we told you or tried to explain would make you analyze every piece of media you encounter. Watch out though, this guy knows his colors so well that he coordinates his wardrobe colors to how he wants to make you feel when you respond – the crazy thing is that it works over the phone too!
AbdulAziz Al-Salim | Captain Obvious - aziz@muslimtees.com
AbdulAziz is a founding member of MuslimTees, he graduated from business school so you can imagine what kind of buzz word filled sentences this guy cooks up. “They’re late entrants to the market so before they can implement any fully integrated brand positioning they have to get into the game. Let’s synergize our experiences, debottleneck our approval process, and streamline our operations. Plan, execute, and evaluate – it is that simple really.” All that and we still did not know what he wanted from Subway. AbdulAziz is a diligent student of business and more recently of life who challenges assumptions, looks for numbers, and shiny new pens. |
