Want to see what’s going on with American Muslims? You might have to look a little further than here, but MuslimTees is a good first step. Our goal is to mix fashion and faith seamlessly to the point you do not know where one starts, and the other begins.
Here a quick look at the company for your spectacular article, blog posting, or massive email.
MuslimTees was born as an idea between Rommy Ahmed and AbdulAziz Al-Salim while they were working on an online extreme timepiece sport store. After landing distribution contracts with Casio, Citizen, and Suunto Watches the partners were waiting on a few more deals. Instead of letting the time go to waste the pair thought up of fashionable apparel representing everything and anything Muslim, be it cultural or religious.
The pair was unfamiliar with the Muslim market and brought Taqee Ahmed in as their insider. With that the three quickly released five designs on their website in the summer of 2006 to overwhelming response. A year and a half later the team includes Khaled El-Sawaf and Nora Alfaham, 17 designs, and a women’s line. The team is just as diverse as the designs they showcase. The team consists of five nationalities: Bangladeshi, Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, and Syrian. The degrees held by the team include: communications, finance, marketing, political science, public health, and one is working on their fine media degree. |
